We bought this coffee after cupping 6 different farms from FST, which varies from geisha to Catuai and Caturra. We find this coffee worth the price and value. This coffee is so good on filter and also on espresso. An espresso at any cafes in Panama will certainly be memorable.
After cupping 6 coffees from FST, we find this coffee interesting with cola and greenish apple at the front palate. This coffee is a prize especially if you have tried Anaerobic or Gesha. In taste ascending order, washed, then honey process, then Gesha, then anaerobic. This coffee is in between honey process and Gesha .
Kindly note that this coffee is not available in dark roast for automatic machines.
Finca Santa Teresa is a boutique coffee farm and the mill is located high in the cloud forest of Panama. FST sits close to the border between Costa Rica and Panama’s highest peak, the Volcan Baru. Adjacent is La Amistad National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
FST produces coffees of singular quality. The key to this is terroir – rich volcanic soils, high altitude, weather systems that are driven by the Pacific and Atlantic, and a series of ridges and valleys. The result is coffee redolent of honeysuckle, lychee and strawberries.
