Yu Hang Jing Shan Tea 余杭径山茶

$52.00

Yu Hang's Jing Shan Mountain is unique. It did not just produce tribute teas for the imperial court. It is one of the few places in the world which can claim to have shaped the history of tea culture.

Monks from the Wan Shou Temple created the Jing Shan Tea Banquet as a means of sharing with their guests the delicious green tea grown in the temple's estates. Some of these guests were Buddhist monks from Japan, who brought the ceremony back to their home country, where it became the famous Japanese Chado or 茶道。
