We have been on the hunt for good decaf beans, We find this particular coffee is very sweet and it leaves a sugary mouthfeel aftertaste. This coffee suits mummy going on maternity leaves, coping with pregnancy while wanting to have a cup of coffee. Wholesale is not available as this coffee is very limited and rare.
Information
This coffee is produced by selected farms in the Popayan region of Colombia. Coffee is milled in Popayan and shipped to Caldas, Colombia to be decaffeinated.
The decaffeination process for this coffee is unique. The caffeine is extracted from the coffee using a natural by-product of sugarcane and water. This process avoids excessive temperatures seen in other methods and leaves a coffee with enhanced sweetness which roasts and taste much more like original coffee.
Another main advantage is that the whole process is being done within Colombia, thus saving more costs for the producers and end customers.
